Is my past an illusion?
Seems my brain's playing tricks on me
All it wants to remember are
All my losses, my failures
When the world got the worst of me

As long as we tread carefully"
But watch your step
It still may be a little wet
But less, the more you concede

Watch the clock, how it mocks you
Time will seldomly spot you
Once the world refuses to spin
Count the loss with every single finger crossed
And let the clock just have its win
