Música para los oídos; clásica, icónica y simple. Eso es lo que Foo Fighters pidió a Don Clark al encargarle la creación de la portada del que se convertiría en uno de los mejores álbumes de la banda: Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace.

En esta portada Clark combina un torpedo con un tubo de amplificador de guitarra, eliminando las connotaciones bélicas del primero y ensalzando los atributos de potencia de ambos. Refleja, al mismo tiempo, "el tono del disco sobre la vida y la mortalidad".

Clark comenzó como guitarrista en la banda de metalcore cristiano Demon Hunter, más tarde dejó el grupo para dedicarse profesionalmente al diseño. Parece que la decisión fue la correcta porque ha sido nominado a un Grammy al "Best Album Packaging" por Secrets Keep You Sick de The Folds.
